Thursday during a media briefing at the Western Athletic Conference football preview in Salt Lake City that was also attended by WAC commissioner Karl Benson, McMackin said, "I know most of the coaches in the country are rooting for us to beat Notre Dame," McMackin said. Sperm bank offers celebrity look-a-like donors - ProudParenting

California Cryobank announced that it has started posting photos of celebrities who resemble their donors to give prospective clients a better idea of what their potential offspring might look like.

"The number one client question we get is: `Who does this donor look like?"' said Scott Brown of California Cryobank. "We decided this would be a great way to give thorough and consistent answers. Clients love it. Look-a-Likes has only been available for a week and our Web site traffic is up 50 percent."

Brown said the sperm bank is choosy, accepting fewer than 1 percent of people who apply to be donors. The screening process includes genetic testing, regular blood tests, a three-generation family medical history, and a sperm count/quality in the top 15 percent of the population, he said.

Clients can search for attributes such as height or eye and hair color, and the database will return a list of donors who each have two or three celebrity look-alikes. Users also can choose from an existing library of celebrities to generate a list of matching donors, according to California Cyrobank, which was started in 1977. READ MORE

Quakers Challenge Marriage Law In Great Britain - Lez Get Real

They are better known to the world as the Quakers, but the Religious Society of Friends have agreed to recognize full marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples in Great Britain, and calling upon Parliament to recognize unions with full legal validity. Since 2005, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland only has registered domestic partnerships which accord all the same rights as heterosexual marriage, and are performed in the same manner by the registers. This move creates something of a break between the Quakers and the British government simply because of the laws requiring recognition and protection of religious freedom in the country.

A Constitutional Court in Portugal has upheld the constitutionality of a same sex marriage ban in that country and rejected an appeal filed by a lesbian couple who are unable to marry because Portugal's constitution defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman only. The women were first denied the right to marry in a civil registry office in 2006 and challenged that decision by using an article of the Portuguese Constitution that bans discrimination based on sexual orientation.
