Christina Ricci and Owen Benjamin
They are going to share the big screen very soon in the upcoming romantic comedy All’s Faire in Love. But this is not the hottest news. Their fans should be delighted because Christina Ricci and Owen Benjamin have announced that they plan to play the roles of leading man and lady off screen as well, as husband and wife.
The star of The Addams Family was spotted with a sparkling ring on her left hand on the same day that the happy news was made public.
According to E!online, the prospective groom and his bride-to-be, whose relationship first captured the attention of the paparazzi back in November, celebrated their engagement with a party at a West Hollywood hot spot on March 14, 2009.
However, the happy couple have not revealed details regarding their upcoming “I do.”
Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips
It seems that Danny Masterson and Bijou Phillips are truly Made For Each Other, just like the title of their upcoming comedy. On March 14, 2009, one day after celebrating his 33rd birthday, the former cast member of That ’70s Show embarked on a new life by asking the actress/model to be his wife, People magazine reported. Maybe it was in the cards that they would one day pledge their love after meeting at a poker tournament over three and one-half years ago.
The future groom and his bride-to-be have not divulged a date for their impending “I do.”
Comedian Cheech Marin and Natasha Rubin
Counter-culture comedian Cheech Marin, best known as one-half of the drug-themed duo Cheech & Chong, is preparing to marry the woman he loves, musician Natasha Rubin after a four and one-half years relationship.
The actor, who has recently appeared on the small screen as the father of Hugo “Hurley” Reyes on the ABC hit Lost, is planning to say a firm “I do” to pianist Natasha Rubin at their shared Malibu residence in a summertime ceremony, as People magazine reports.
Designer Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone
Marc Jacobs has created runway wonders for years and now, the design icon may soon be selecting attire for his own walk down the aisle. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the American designer not only plans to celebrate the success of his Sao Paulo store during his current sojourn to Brazil.
Jacobs will also rejoice in a love that has led to engagement rings that now grace the left hands of both the fashion great and ad executive Lorenzo Martone. The couple has declared their intent to say “I do” following a year-long romance. The happy pair has not announced a wedding date.
The country-rock firebrand Ryan Adams has married his beautiful young girlfriend Mandy Moore in a secret ceremony in Savannah, Georgia, last week on March 10. The report of their marriage originally appeared on PerezHilton.com. According to the gossip site, the singer-actress, 24, and Adams, 34, applied for a marriage license on Tuesday afternoon at the Chatham County Probate office in Savannah, according to a court source, who adds that the famous couple went unrecognized. A source told the site, “She’s very, very happy.” Another source told Perez that Adams “is completely head-over-heels about her and a changed man.”
The quiet wedding ceremony lasted eight minutes. “She was thrilled to be getting married. She was giddy but not in a childish way. She was obviously so happy,” Pastor Steven Schulte told People.com. “I thought it was either somebody famous or somebody really bad.”
The pair got engaged just last month, after dating on and off for around a year. The couple started dating in December 2007, according to E! News, but didn’t make their relationship public until last March. Adams was quite vocal about why the couple broke up the following July, blaming the media’s constant presence as a cause. “Unfortunately, I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter,” he said of the breakup. “[I'm] staying close to my support group of friends and bandmates and not engaging in activities that prevent me from taking care of myself or others.” Soon after the split, Moore was seen hanging out with former flame DJ AM after he survived a deadly plane crash, though the renewed relationship didn’t last long. Before long, Adams and Moore had reunited.
When he announced his break from the Cardinals and subsequent hiatus in January 2009, Adams expressed a desire to get on with his private life, writing in a blog post, “I am excited to step away. i lost more than anyone will ever know (hearing, someone i loved, my sense of dignity, a never ending losing battle with stage fright.”
“Hopefully, it can happen and slip by unnoticed by everybody. I guess we have to be sort of sneaky about it, but I’ll see what I can accomplish,” the former teen idol Mandy Moore said, according to usmagazine.com. She didn’t ever express an interest in a big wedding. “I kind of feel like, because I’ve been able to get married in a few films, I kind of got the whole giant wedding fuss out of my system,” Moore told the magazine.
“He’s a good egg,” Moore talks about Adams in the April issue of Marie Claire magazine, saying she is “in awe of him-his brain, his passion. He’s truly one of a kind”, as Just Jared reports.
Unfortunately, it seems that their honeymoon will have to wait as Adams is still on the road for the last time with the Cardinals, performing in Columbia, South Carolina. Adams’ tenure with the Cardinals concludes March 20th with a show at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. Despite Adams’ assertion that he’ll take a hiatus once after the band’s final show, there have been reports that Adams is already working on a new album called Dear Impossible, his follow-up to 2008’s Cardinology.
E! Online’s Marc Malkin has made public a new report by the hour, claiming on-again and off-again lovers Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer may have ended their love relationship for good. Marc says he’s been informed by an anonymous source that the celebrity pair broke-up sometime within the last week after the beautiful actress returned to the U.S. following a tour to Europe to promote her new big screen project, comedy movie “Marley & Me”.
Aniston and Mayer went public for the first time at the Oscars at the end of last month. Backstage at the Kodak, Aniston told Gayle King, who was interviewing them for her pal Oprah’s show, that she was “very happy.” Later in the night, they strolled arm-in-arm into the Vanity Fair post-show party at the Sunset Tower hotel.
Well, it seems that her happiness didn’t last long. “He broke up with her when she got back from her European tour,” Mark Malkin’s source said.
However, one of their friends warns that we shouldn’t be quick to assume the two are through for good. As we know, this wouldn’t be the first time they’ve gone their separate ways. But Aniston’s spokesman did not immediately comment and Mayer’s rep declined to comment on the singer’s personal life.
In fact, the news of their split up comes in the wake of Internet reports claiming he has shopped for an engagement ring for her. Britain’s Daily Mirror wrote that Mayer approached jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to design a vintage-style classic ring with an 18-carat flawless diamond, which he would later on present to Aniston when he proposed to her. The ring-shopping claim has since been denied by Schwartz’s office though.
Moreover, Aniston recently opened up about love and romance to the U.K. magazine You. “Who ever said that every relationship has to last forever? That’s hoping too much,” said Aniston, who turned 40 exactly a month ago. “I think every relationship is a world unto itself.” As for finding the perfect partner, she said, “I don’t have one and I don’t think it exists.”
Furthermore, Aniston was spotted on Monday at the Sunset Tower hotel grabbing a bite to eat at the Terrace restaurant. She’ll be flying to New York City in the spring to shoot “The Baster”, in which she stars opposite Jason Bateman as an unmarried 40-year-old who decides to have a baby with her best friend. Meanwhile, Mayer has been in the studio working on a new album.
