“Transformers” star Megan Fox and her longtime beau Brian Austin Green have quietly called off their engagement to be married, as US Weekly confirms in an exclusive report on its site.
Rumors of them splitting were quick to spark after Fox was seen attending this year’s Golden Globes in January all alone without Green by her side. Pressed by reporters why the actor didn’t accompany her, the screen beauty said, “He doesn’t wanna be here. He doesn’t want to be my date. He’s a man, he has an ego.”
“The relationship had run its course,” the publication cites an insider as claiming. “It’s completely amicable, and they are remaining friends.” In addition, a source confirms to People “The decision was mutual.”
Megan Fox, 22, and Brian Austin Green, 35, first met in 2004 on the set of ABC’s sitcom “Hope & Faith.” They got engaged two years later in November 2006 and had made public their plan to get married. In fact, Green, who stars in Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, told People in November last year that he and Fox were hopeful for a small wedding or even elopement.
“It’s not going to be a big wedding,” she told Us at a GQ bash. “I’m not one of those girls. If it happens, it will be very low-key and quick and unplanned.” She said she and Green - who has a 6-year-old son, Kassius, from a previous relationship - haven’t talked about wanting more kids. “I feel like I need to set my career and do a movie other than Transformers,” she said. “Then I’ll explore family.”
Green laughed off split rumors last year: “The last thing we do is get upset,” he told Us. “We usually go have dinner and have a glass of wine and laugh about it.” Asked last July what he loves most about Fox, he told Us, “Everything is my favorite thing about her.”
For the time being, the couple - who have tattoos of each other’s names - are “focusing on their careers,” the insider adds.
However, neither Fox nor Green has commented on the report of them breaking up though.
Are Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen engaged? Well, according to New York Post’s Page Six, Bilson was spotted on a Virgin America flight from LA to JFK Monday night with her mom and it seems that a man sitting in front of her on the plane saw a ring on her finger and asked if she was married. According to their snitch, Bilson reply, “I’m not married yet, just engaged. I know I look like I’m 15, but I’m actually 27.”
Furthermore, People Magazine also reported that the two young actors got engaged quietly over the holidays. It seems that a friend of the couple told the magazine “They’re so excited, they’re a great couple. Rachel seems thrilled beyond belief.” According to a friend of the actress, the two, who costarred in 2008’s “Jumper”, got engaged in December.
The former “The OC” starlet and the “Star Wars” prequels actor co-starred in the 2008 film “Jumper,” and have reportedly dated since 2007.
“I’m happy and that’s all that matters,” Rachel told Page Six Magazine last September. “I have someone really great. Someone who can make me laugh-that’s always what comes first. It’s the best to be able to really, like, truly laugh with someone like they’re your best friend, you know?”
She was previously linked to her “OC” on-screen boyfriend, Adam Brody , while Golden Globe-nominated Canadian actor Hayden has been connected to Sienna Miller. Rachel Bilson began dating her “The O.C.” co-star Adam Brody in 2003. In 2004, it was reported the two were engaged. In 2005, Brody gave Bilson a pit bull, Penny Lane, as a birthday present. The couple later adopted another dog, Thurmen Murmen, who now lives with Bilson. In late 2006, Bilson and Brody ended their relationship.
The couple is reportedly building a home together on the outskirts of Toronto, where Hayden Christensen purchased a farmhouse last year.
In 2008, a source told America’s Star magazine, “Hayden is so in love with Rachel that he’s letting her be a part of the designing process, which should be completed after Christmas. They plan on moving in permanently next March, if not sooner.”
And according to reports, the move has the couple thinking more seriously about marriage in the near future. The insider adds the pair aren’t “eager to push things, but a ceremony has been discussed.”
However, when reached by Access Hollywood, a rep for Rachel would not comment on the star’s personal life.
